At Luksuz, my relation with cinema has became much more personal. Doubts, expectations, and possible comparisons disappeared the very first day I start filming. I realised that cinema is, above all, a tool for personal change; something that, just like writing or painting, anyone can practice daily without the need for big crews or productions. True originality lies in the personal: in filming with what you have, because you genuinely feel the need to do it here and now. Luksuz is like a utopian film school, where every one contributes their grain of sand and we share knowledge by participating in each other’s short films. There is no formula; each short is a whole new world, and you feel the joy of being able to experiment with different aesthetics, genres, and themes. I have always aspired to became a film teacher, which is why Enej inspired me so deeply. He is someone who truly understands young people and always tries to motivate them to the fullest. It was very special to build connections during the workshops with the PUMO students and to see how they put all their effort and faith into bringing their projects to life. I am deeply grateful and happy to have spent seven months in Krško. Honestly, I believe it was one of the best decisions of my life. For me, Luksuz is even better than university.
